From The Board of Directors

In the process of considering additional committees we might establish and recognizing the growing interest in having the Chapel serve as a venue for various events, we have concluded we need to also establish a solid framework to ensure we abide by our original mission.

Therefore, we want to share this recent resolution that was unanimously approved by the Board of Directors on March 22, 2021:

Any program or activity in or on the property of, or done in the name of, or associated with the name of The Chapel on Eagles Bluff, must have the prior written approval of The Board of Directors. The decision of the Board of Directors will be final.

Some key points to remember as we consider this are:

  1. We aren’t considering the “venue business” as our principal goal though we recognize it is a very appealing site for certain events which we will welcome. These would include, but not be limited to, weddings, funerals, memorial services, Bible Study Groups, and special speakers and programs related to our mission of The Chapel being, first, A House of God.
  2. We intend to maintain this as a non-denominational organization.
  3. We do not intend to promote the Chapel as an alternative to someone’s Church. Our goal is to compliment the established churches in the area and to cooperate with and support their missions so they will be inspired to support ours.
