The Board of Directors wishes to announce the following:
Dr. David Teegarden has announced his resignation from our Board of Directors. David has served The Chapel since we first established the Board of Directors. His experience has been a strong addition as we’ve dealt with the early challenges of construction and funding our building and laying the framework for its use. The Board wishes to thank David for his devoted service and we look forward to his continuing to be one of our most interested supporters. Thank you, David.
Upon the resignation of Dr. Teegarden, the Board diligently reviewed numerous names of our friends and neighbors who would all make wonderful Board Members. After our deliberation, the Board unanimously selected Joe Samford subject to his willingness to serve. Joe has subsequently and enthusiastically agreed and has joined our Board immediately.
Joe, and his wife Linda, moved into Eagle’s Bluff a bit over a year ago. Joe brings a wealth of talent and energy to the Board having retired from a career in finance. Joe and Linda are responsible for the installation of the Cross in the back of the Chapel. This “Cross/Fish” (depending on your viewing angle) is a wonderful addition to our Prayer Garden that is continuing to take shape.
If you haven’t walked the grounds recently we urge you to consider that as part of your Easter Weekend. Thanks to David Smith for his continued dedication to the establishment and construction of the Garden.
