Easter Announcements - Good Friday Service, Flowering Cross
The Chapel on Eagles Bluff invites you to join us for a special service on Good Friday, April 2, at 9:30 a.m. Our dear friend and former neighbor, Reverend M. L. Agnew, will conduct a service of prayer, worship, and music as we recognize the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and the Resurrection on Easter Weekend. This will be open to all Faiths consistent with our non-denominational Mission. Our neighbors, Diane Fritsche and Chuck Osborn, will provide appropriate music to compliment the service. Since this service will be conducted inside The Chapel, we wish to maintain the requirement for wearing masks, for now, while attending indoor events at The Chapel. This will not be a lengthy service. We hope you can arrange to join us for what will be our first, formal Chapel service.
A cross will be erected on the afternoon on Thursday, April 1, as we did last year. All are welcome to add flowers decorating this cross once it has been erected on Thursday and then on Friday and Saturday. The Easter Flowering Cross was a beautiful addition to our celebration last year. Thanks again to Joanna Reagan for originating this idea.
While on the property, we encourage you to walk the grounds and view the more recent additions of a flagstone walkway, commemorative bricks in our Prayer Garden, various plaques honoring loved ones and acknowledging supporters of our Chapel.
Don’t forget, unless there is a formal event underway, you are always welcome to visit The Chapel for your personal meditation, prayer, and reflection.
